I can't take it.
It's turned into a physical pain.
An ache in my heart.
It's killing me.
Strangling me,
It won't let go.
An abuse I've never felt before.

But I know it's nothing...
Compared to what they feel everyday.
Their skin peeled from their bones.
Their bodies changed unnaturally.
Beaten and bloody.
Heads hanging low.
You can count their ribs,
While they tuck their tails.

There's nothing we can do.
But there has to be something.
I'm 14 years old.
I can't drive.
I can't go to China,
I can't go anywhere to help.
I'm done signing petitions that do nothing in the end.
I'm done with words.
I want action that will never come.

Can't you see the soul in those eyes?
Feel the pain that they feel?
They show more compassion than humans could ever know.
Yet we snap their necks,
We kick them,
We trap them in cages two times too small for them.
We torture them in every imaginable way.

There's got to be something...
There's got to be something we can do.

I don't believe in religion and God,
But lord look down,
Do something.
How can we let animals die for no reason everyday?
Not humane deaths,
Torture.

It hurts.
This inability to do anything.
